The space for distributing files inside the community: a spreadsheet, an e-book, a PDF, a document or a ZIP with everything together. It works in two ways: as a repository, with several items and one or more files in each, or as a single file that opens directly. Each item has a title, description, cover and category. Files are kept in private storage, and every download uses a link that lasts a few minutes.
A consultancy with a client community
The team uploads the planning spreadsheet and the contract template to a subscribers-only space, and sells the methodology e-book at a one-off price. Whoever bought it finds everything under “My downloads”, and the team sees how many times each file was downloaded.
Like every space, this one is public, members only or subscribers only — the choice is per space, and the space is the authority on what can be reached from it.
Companies with a customer community
Support stops answering the same question every week: the answer becomes part of the archive, with search and a fixed address. Open spaces serve as a shop window for people who aren’t customers yet; spaces per account or per plan stay closed, with who can see them set in each one.
