Certificates

The space where the community attests that someone finished a course or a program. The team builds the template — the platform’s default, with the community’s logo and colors, or your own artwork, with the name, the date and the QR code placed wherever you want — and issues it to members, groups or tags in one go. Each person receives the certificate by e-mail, as a PDF and as an image for social media, and finds it under “My certificates”. Every certificate has a code and a public verification page, and the team can revoke or reissue it when needed.

Template, issuing, verification

A school with a class of thirty

The course has the certificate turned on: every student who finishes gets the PDF by e-mail, with the right name and course hours. For the in-person workshop, which is not a course, the coordinators issue to the class group in one go. When a student corrects her name on her profile, the admin reissues it.

Automatic when a course is completed
On the course, the “Issue a certificate?” switch picks the template and the text. Whoever completes it after you turn it on receives it automatically, by e-mail, with the course hours added up from the lessons. Whoever had already completed it before does not: there is no retroactive issuing.
Automatic when attending an event
On the event, the “Issue a certificate?” switch picks the template and the text, which carry the event date and the hours. Whoever answered “Going” receives the certificate by e-mail about an hour after the event ends. There is no check-in yet: whoever RSVPed and did not show up receives it too.
Batch issuing, when you are the one issuing
Pick the template, then members, groups and tags, combined as you like. Someone who is in more than one gets a single certificate, and you are told beforehand who already has one.
Public verification
The QR code on the PDF leads to an open page, no login needed, that says whether the certificate is valid and whose it is — without showing the e-mail. It stays out of search engines unless the person asks otherwise.
For LinkedIn and social media
The member downloads the PDF, downloads the image, shares it and adds the certificate to their LinkedIn profile with the verification link already filled in.
Revoke and reissue
A certificate issued by mistake or with the wrong name is revoked, and the verification page starts saying so. Reissuing creates a new certificate, with a new code, and the old one stops being valid.

Against the rest of the market. A checkout platform delivers the PDF and that’s it. Here the certificate comes from a course completed inside the community, carries its name and colors, and can be checked by anyone who gets the link.

The automatic certificate applies to course completion and to event attendance. Issuing from a spreadsheet and event check-in don’t exist yet, and the course certificate does not depend on an exam: it is issued when the person completes every lesson.

What the space does

Visibility

Like every space, this one is public, members only or subscribers only — the choice is per space, and the space is the authority on what can be reached from it.

Where this module shows up

Mentors and instructors

Mentoring keeps happening between one session and the next

The live session is one hour a week; the rest of the time the group has nowhere to talk. Here mentoring has an address: the session is on the calendar, the group carries on in the feed, and the material you deliver stays organized instead of lost in a messaging group.

Schools and online courses

Your online course gets the class that video alone can’t give it

You don’t need to change how you sell to bring your content here. The catalog — course, module and lesson — lives in the community, with a class, live sessions and conversation between students, and whoever bought comes in as a member. Students see where they stopped; teachers see who got stuck.

HR and internal communications

Onboarding, training and announcements at the same address

Announcements that don’t get lost in the scroll, onboarding that stays standing for whoever joins later, a training path with each person’s progress and a calendar of company gatherings. Distributed teams stop depending on who happened to be online at the time.

Franchises and networks

The same training reaches every location the same way

A large network trains by meeting, and what was said at the first location arrives different at the thirtieth. Here the training path is one and the same, with each franchisee’s progress in view, the manual and the campaigns in a searchable archive, and a channel between operators that doesn’t depend on the franchisor being online.

Associations and professional bodies

Annual dues members feel all twelve months

Annual dues stop being a charge with nothing visible in return: members get technical content, an events calendar and a channel between peers. Access turns on and off along with payment, with no manual tracking.
