IDP
The space for the individual development plan. A person builds their IDP with a title, a period and up to 50 actions, each with a deadline, and sends it to their direct leader in the org chart, who approves it or sends it back with a note. Once approved, they mark the actions’ progress, and an overdue action shows as late without anyone marking it. An action can be linked to a community course and show progress through its lessons. The owner opens a company cycle with deadlines to send and to approve and e-mail reminders, and the dashboard shows, per leader, who sent, who was approved and who is late.

A bank with a leadership program
HR opens the year’s IDP cycle for the leaders’ group, with a November deadline to send. Each leader links two actions to the courses in the leadership track, the director approves from the notification e-mail, and the dashboard shows who hasn’t sent yet.
- The direct leader approves
- The leader comes from the org chart, at the moment of each action. They approve, send back with a note or create a report’s IDP, and people without a leader are approved by the team.
- One cycle for the whole company
- The owner opens the cycle with a deadline to send and a deadline to approve, for everyone, a group or a tag. Reminders go out by e-mail days ahead, only to those still due.
- An action linked to a course
- The action points to a community course and shows the lessons completed. Whoever isn’t enrolled sees a button to join, and finishing the course marks the action as done.
- The dashboard by leader
- Per direct leader: how many people have an IDP, how many are waiting, how many were approved, how many are late. In the cycle, who sent and who missed the deadline.
