Memberfy costs from US$ 10 a month plus 6.99% + US$ 1.00 per sale, with payment processing included and unlimited admins and moderators; your members pay in your country’s currency, reais in Brazil and US dollars by card elsewhere, which is coming soon. Circle costs from US$ 89 a month on the annual plan plus 2% per transaction, with unlimited members and apps for iOS and Android, but Stripe’s fee comes on top and each extra admin costs US$ 10 a month.

What Circle does well
- Unlimited members on every plan: on member count, it scales better than Memberfy’s tiers.
- Apps for iOS, Android and desktop from the first plan, and a branded app on Circle Plus.
- A broad product: courses, live events, website, member directory, gamification and email marketing in one place.
- A 1% transaction fee on the Business and Scale plans.
When to choose each one
Choose Circle if
- your members are outside Brazil and pay in dollars or euros (on Memberfy, selling in US dollars is still on its way);
- the community is very large and member count is what drives the bill;
- an app in the app stores is a must.
Choose Memberfy if
- you want one fee per sale that already includes payment processing, with no Stripe line on top;
- the team running the community is large and you do not want to pay per admin, moderator or space;
- you want the community without the platform’s branding from US$ 19, not US$ 199;
- you want the plan and the fee to be the whole bill, with no AI credits to count.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Circle’s fee include payment processing?
- No. Circle charges its own fee (2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale) and Stripe charges its processing fee on top, which varies by country — Circle’s own payments page says so. On Memberfy, the 6.99% + US$ 1.00 per sale already includes processing, with any payment method.
- How much does the team cost on each?
- On Circle’s Professional plan, 3 admins, 10 moderators and 20 spaces are included; beyond that, US$ 10 a month per admin, US$ 20 per 10 moderators and US$ 20 per 10 spaces. On Memberfy there is no charge per admin, moderator or space, on any plan.
- Does Circle limit the number of members?
- No: every Circle plan has unlimited members. On Memberfy the plan goes by member limit — from 100, on Starter, to 20,000, on Scale — and above that each pack of 2,000 members adds US$ 19 a month.
- Can my members pay in US dollars on Memberfy?
- Not yet. Your members pay in your country’s currency: in Brazil, in reais, with PIX, boleto and card; outside Brazil they will pay in US dollars, by card, and that is coming soon. Outside Brazil, the Memberfy plan itself is billed in US dollars. If your members must pay in dollars today, Circle already charges that way.
- Does Memberfy have an app like Circle?
- Not in the stores. Memberfy is a website that installs on the phone’s home screen and opens full screen. If an app on the App Store and Google Play is a must, Circle has one.
