Nexudus alternatives: run the space and the residents’ community in one system, from Claude or ChatGPT

Quick summary

Memberfy is the best Nexudus alternative when your space’s community matters as much as its desks: bookings with credits, a check-in kiosk, visitors, parcels, help-desk tickets and resident companies sit in the same place as the feed, events and courses, with one fee per charge that includes payment processing, a published price (with the Coworking extension, from US$ 89 a month, first plan included) and an MCP server to run the front desk from Claude or ChatGPT on every plan. Two caveats: outside Brazil, charging your members in US dollars by card is still coming, and Nexudus wins on door-lock integrations and multi-location networks across countries; OfficeRnD, Optix and Cobot already bill members through Stripe and other providers.

  • Billing: Memberfy processes member payments itself, with one fee (6.99% + US$ 1.00) and no payment-provider account; Nexudus bills through providers you open an account with (Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal and others).
  • Price: published in text on Memberfy; on Nexudus it is per location and per active user, in dollars, euros or pounds, and the amount is not shown in text on the pricing page.
  • Community: feed, ticketed events, courses, engagement and calls for proposals in the same member record as the booking; on Nexudus, news, events, newsletters and message boards.
  • AI: an MCP server with 959 tools on every Memberfy plan, to run the front desk by talking to Claude or ChatGPT; Nexudus advertises six AI agents of its own.
  • Where Nexudus wins: door-lock integrations (Salto KS, Brivo, Kisi and Avigilon), more than 60 native integrations, multi-location networks across many countries, and billing members in their own currency today.

Why so many people look for a Nexudus alternative

Nexudus is one of the most mature coworking systems on the market: it says it powers more than 3,000 spaces in more than 90 countries, since 2012. All core features come on every plan: CRM, plans and products, floor plans, credits, bookings, access and check-in, an AI-powered help desk, visitors and more than 100 reports, plus a family of apps (Passport for members, NexIO for visitors, NexBoard for room panels and NexDelivery for deliveries). There is a 21-day free trial.

Two things make operators look around. The price is per location, by each location’s active users (anyone invoiced or who booked in the last 30 days), billed in dollars, euros or pounds, and the amount sits in a calculator, not in text. And Nexudus does not process member payments: its documentation says to open an account with a provider (Stripe Checkout, GoCardless, Spreedly, Forte, PayPal and others), and that availability depends on the provider, not on Nexudus. In practice, that is two contracts and two lines of fees.

The third is community and branding. Nexudus’ community side is news, events, newsletters, message boards, an FAQ and perks; the members’ app included is Passport, with Nexudus branding, and the white-label version costs an extra $/£/€ 150 a month, for up to 5 locations.[1,2,3,4,5]

How to choose a Nexudus alternative

Six questions that separate the systems on this list. Answer them before you look at the price.

How your members pay
Which currency and which methods: card, direct debit, local methods. Check that the system bills members in the way they already pay.
Who processes the billing
If the system processes the payment, there is one fee. If it only connects a gateway, you open an account, sign another contract and pay the provider’s fees on top.
What the front desk does every day
Bookings with credits, check-in at the door, visitors, parcels and maintenance tickets: see what comes with the plan and what is a paid add-on.
The house community
Feed, events, content and engagement keep a resident longer than a desk does. See whether it lives in the same member record as the booking or in another system.
Door access and locations
If the door opens through an integrated lock, or you run several locations across countries, that decides the list before anything else.
Published price and currency
A price in text avoids surprises in the sales call. Add the plan, the add-ons and the billing fee.

The alternatives, one by one

1. Memberfy

Best for: Coworkings that want the front desk, the billing and the residents’ community in one system, run from an AI

What it does well

  • Payment processing is part of the platform: no payment-provider account, and access to subscriber-only spaces follows the payment.
  • One fee per charge (6.99% + US$ 1.00), payment processing included and the same with any payment method.
  • Coworking extension: room, desk and workstation bookings with credits per plan, a panel on the room door, a check-in and check-out kiosk, visitors registered in advance with the host notified, parcels with photo and locker, tickets with deadlines and inspection rounds.
  • Resident companies with a credit wallet, their own admin who invites and removes the team, and parcels addressed to the company.
  • The house community in the same member record: 30 space types, among them feed, events with tickets and check-in, courses, gallery, engagement and calls for proposals, plus e-mail campaigns and workflows that send e-mail, WhatsApp and SMS.
  • An MCP server with 959 tools, a public API and 101 webhook event types on every plan: the front desk run by talking to Claude or ChatGPT, with a confirmation before anything touches money.

Limitations

  • Outside Brazil, charging your members in US dollars, by card, is still coming; in Brazil they pay by PIX, boleto or card.
  • No door-lock or turnstile integration: check-in and check-out stay in the system, through the kiosk and the phone.
  • No management of locations, currencies and payment providers per country.
  • Not on the App Store or Google Play: it installs on the phone’s home screen with the community’s name and icon and sends notifications.

Pricing model

The plan goes by member count: from US$ 10 (Starter, up to 100) to US$ 99 (Scale, up to 20,000) a month on annual billing; above that, US$ 19 for every 2,000. The Coworking extension starts at US$ 89 a month with the first plan included, with no limit on rooms, desks and workstations. Plus 6.99% + US$ 1.00 per charge, payment processing included; the Memberfy branding comes off from Growth, at US$ 19.

Verdict: The best Nexudus alternative for a space that wants the front desk and the residents’ community in one place, with payment processing included and AI on every plan, at a published price. If your members must pay in dollars today, or integrated door locks and many locations across countries are a must, Nexudus and OfficeRnD fit better.

2. OfficeRnD Flex

Best for: Flex-space operators who want a modern system, with an app and billing through international providers

What it does well

  • Members book and pay from the OfficeRnD app, with a web portal, and the dashboard tracks occupancy, revenue and member activity.
  • Digital contracts, flexible membership plans and interactive floor plans to sell your space, from Start.
  • More than 76 free integrations, from door access to Wi-Fi, and the Salto ProAccess door integration on Scale.
  • AI add-ons (AI Hub and an AI sales agent) and a visitor add-on (Visitor Hub).
  • Prices published in text, with volume discounts.

Limitations

  • It does not process payments: it bills through your account with a provider; with Stripe, you create or connect your own account, and the integration takes card, direct debit, SEPA and ACH.
  • On top of the plan, it charges per bookable resource and per meeting room.
  • The branded app, Visitor Hub and AI Hub are add-ons; API and webhooks from Grow, as an add-on, and included on Scale.
  • Prices in US dollars, with billing also in euros, pounds and Australian dollars, depending on the country.

Pricing model

Essentials US$ 99 (up to 50 members and 1 location), Start from US$ 155 (100 members) and Grow from US$ 249 (200 members and 2 locations) a month on annual billing; US$ 129, US$ 169 and US$ 275 on monthly billing. On annual billing, plus US$ 2 to US$ 3 per bookable resource and US$ 8 to US$ 10 per meeting room, depending on the plan. Scale on request.[6,7]

Verdict: One of the most modern systems in the category, with an app and several door-lock integrations. To bill residents without a gateway account and keep the community in the same place, Memberfy is the choice.

3. Optix

Best for: Flex spaces that want automation and a white-label app, billing through Stripe

What it does well

  • Desk, room and resource booking, check-ins, CRM, invoicing and an automation engine with more than 1,000 ready-made automations.
  • Community feed, directory with messaging and events on every plan.
  • Door access granted for each booking through integrations such as Kisi and Salto, to run without staff on site.
  • Native Stripe and Zapier on every plan; API, webhooks and a sandbox from Pro.
  • 14 days free, no credit card.

Limitations

  • Plans go by active users and automation actions: 50 users and 100 actions on Essentials.
  • The white-label app is a paid add-on up to Grow and included only on Scale.
  • Payment gateways other than Stripe are a paid add-on up to Grow.
  • Visitor management only from Pro.

Pricing model

Essentials US$ 197, Pro US$ 299 and Grow US$ 498 a month on annual billing (US$ 229, US$ 349 and US$ 579 on monthly billing), with 50, 100 and 250 active users; Scale on request, with unlimited users.[8,9]

Verdict: Good for automation and door access tied to bookings, billing by card through Stripe. For the community and AI on every plan, with payment processing included, Memberfy fits better.

4. Cobot

Best for: Anyone who wants the simplest system, with a single plan priced per paying member

What it does well

  • A single plan with every feature: app, white-label member portal, visitors, bookings, automated billing, drop-ins and multi-location management.
  • Only paying members count; drop-ins, visitors, event attendees and guests do not.
  • Access control integrations, an open API and more than 100 integrations, all free.
  • No fee of its own on sales to members, and a one-month free trial, no credit card.

Limitations

  • It does not process payments: it asks for a merchant account with a provider (Stripe, Authorize.net, Adyen, GoCardless, PayPal and others) before you connect it.
  • 9% on external bookings, 5% on drop-in passes and 3% on event tickets sold to non-members.
  • The plan’s price is not shown in text on the pricing page.
  • Bookings for non-members are a US$ 19 a month add-on.

Pricing model

One plan, the Coworking Platform Plan, by number of paying members, monthly or annual (on annual billing, the 12th month is free); 15% off a second location and 20% from the third. Add-ons: external bookings (US$ 19 a month), Radius Wi-Fi (from US$ 29) and premium support (US$ 129).[10,11]

Verdict: The simplest on this list, for anyone who already has a gateway account. To bill members without one and keep the residents’ community in the same member record, Memberfy does more.

5. Conexa

Best for: Brazilian coworkings and virtual offices that want full finance, with automatic invoices

What it does well

  • Brazilian, with automated billing by boleto, PIX and card, through your own bank agreement or its partners, with reconciliation and dunning.
  • Service invoices (NFS-e) issued automatically, before or after payment clears, integrated with hundreds of Brazilian cities.
  • Room and workstation booking, hour packages, private offices, mail handling and check-in and check-out by tablet.
  • Integrated access control (turnstiles, RFID and biometrics) and a white-label iOS and Android app on Scale, with networking between members.
  • Payables, income statement, CRM, WhatsApp integration and an MCP integration to use with ChatGPT and Claude.

Limitations

  • No published price: the Start, Growth and Scale plans are quoted by a specialist.
  • The white-label app, access control, API and webhooks only on Scale.
  • Feed, ticketed events, courses and engagement do not appear on the pages we read; community shows up as networking between members in the app.
  • Up to 3 private offices on Start and 5 on Growth.

Pricing model

Three plans (Start, Growth and Scale), with no published price. On Start, mail handling, messages and early payment in the client area cost R$ 0.19 per record; on the others, they are included.[12,13,14]

Verdict: The most complete Brazilian option on the finance side, with invoices and turnstiles. If the residents’ community, a published price and billing without a bank agreement matter more, Memberfy is the better choice.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Nexudus alternative?
For a space that wants the front desk and the residents’ community in one place, Memberfy: bookings with credits, a kiosk, visitors, parcels, tickets and resident companies, the community in the same member record, payment processing included and an MCP server on every plan. If your members must pay in their own currency today, OfficeRnD, Optix and Cobot already bill through Stripe and other providers.
Does Nexudus process member payments?
No. Nexudus bills through a provider you open an account with (Stripe Checkout, GoCardless, Spreedly, Forte, PayPal and others), and its documentation says availability depends on the provider. On Memberfy, processing is part of the platform, with a single fee.
How much does Memberfy cost for a coworking space?
The plan goes by member count, from US$ 10 a month on Starter, annual billing, and with the Coworking extension it starts at US$ 89 a month, first plan included. Rooms, desks and workstations have no limit. On each charge, 6.99% + US$ 1.00, payment processing included.
Does Memberfy integrate door locks or turnstiles?
No. Memberfy records check-in and check-out in the system, through the kiosk at the door and the phone. If your space depends on an integrated lock or turnstile, Nexudus (Salto KS, Brivo, Kisi and Avigilon), OfficeRnD, Optix and Conexa, on its Scale plan, have that integration.
Which Nexudus alternative issues invoices automatically?
Conexa issues Brazilian service invoices automatically, before or after payment clears. On Memberfy, a paid purchase triggers the invoice in your own invoicing tool through a workflow or the API, with the 101 webhook event types.
I run several locations in several countries. Does Memberfy fit?
For a network like that, Nexudus and OfficeRnD were built for it, with currencies and payment providers from many countries. Memberfy was built for a single space, with no per-country management, and charging members in US dollars outside Brazil is still coming.
Which Nexudus alternative can I run with AI?
Memberfy has an MCP server with 959 tools on every plan: you connect Claude or ChatGPT and ask it, say, to block a room, log a parcel or show who is in the space, and anything that touches money asks for confirmation. Nexudus advertises six AI agents of its own, OfficeRnD has the AI Hub as an add-on and Conexa has an MCP integration.
Can I move from Nexudus to Memberfy?
Your residents come in from a spreadsheet, from any system, with groups and tags, only those who consented. Running subscriptions and payment history are manual work, agreed case by case: nobody can move an active subscription with another provider without the resident authorizing the charge again, and we tell you the size of the job first.
